Create backup<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You can create backups for your GPORTAL server if you want to. You receive free storage space for saving your game play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note<\/strong> Please note that backups are not created automatically. <\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How to create a backup via the web interface:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log on to our website<\/li>
  2. Click on \u201cMy Servers<\/strong>\u201d in the menu on the left<\/li>
  3. Select the desired server<\/li>
  4. Click on \u201cBackup<\/strong>\u201d in the \u201cAdministration<\/strong>\u201d menu on the left<\/li>
  5. Click on \u201cCreate Backup<\/strong>\u201c<\/li>
  6. The server stops for the backup<\/li>
  7. After creating the backup, the server restarts automatically<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      How do I connect to a <\/strong>Atlas server<\/strong>?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      1. Open Steam and click on \u201cShow<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>
      2. Click on \u201cServer<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>
      3. Navigate to \u201cFavorites<\/strong>\u201d and right mouse click in the empty field<\/li>
      4. Enter your server\u2019s IP and query port<\/li>
      5. Update the Favorites<\/li>
      6. Double click on the new entry and connect<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        After adding the server via Steam, you will find the ATLAS server under the “Favorites<\/strong>” filter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Note<\/strong>To see the server in the Steam overview, the port must end with 15<\/strong>. If the query port is \u201c28200<\/strong>\u201d, it must be changed to \u201c28215<\/strong>\u201d when adding to Steam.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

        How does an expansion server work<\/strong>?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        You can enlarge the ATLAS map with an expansion server. The map extensions can be created via the GPORTAL web interface. An expansion server requires a master server with at least 20 slots<\/strong>. The available slots must be distributed equally across the expansion servers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Calculation example with 40 slots<\/strong>
        Main server 40 slots & 3 x expansion server equals:
        1 x main server 10 slots
        3 x expansion servers with 10 slots each<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The calculation example corresponds to a 2\u00d72 grid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Note<\/strong>New saved games are used when switching grids.If you switch back, the old saved games are loaded, and progress is retained. New expansion servers can be added to or removed from existing ones at any time.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

        How Grids<\/strong> works?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        ATLAS works with a 15\u00d715 map supplied. 15\u00d715 means 15 quadrants on the X and 15 more on the Y axis. In total, this corresponds to 225 quadrants.
        The quadrants are arranged with letters, e.g. A1, B2, C4, ETC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
