Rust CE – Switching between the “Old Gen” and “New Gen” versions?

In June 2025, the “New Gen” version of Rust Console Edition was released for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X. While the “Old Gen” version was still supported by the developers for a short time after the “New Gen” release, this is no longer the case. The transition to the “New Gen” version has been completed, and the old version of Rust Console Edition is no longer supported.

As for our GPORTAL Rust Console Edition servers, they remain the same as they were during the “Old Gen” version. In the basic settings of our servers, you’ll find a branch selection that displays both versions.

As you can see in the screenshot, all new Rust Console Edition servers are set to “New Gen” by default.
