For the new Dark Faction DLC, the developers at Eleon Game Studios are starting a cooperation with Funcom, which many of you may know from long-running games such as Conan Exiles or the upcoming Dune Awakening. The FAQs for the DLC also state that this cooperation will continue in the future. We are already looking forward to seeing what else comes out of it.

What is Empyrion?

Empyrion is at heart a survival sandbox title set in a galactic setting. You learn the basics of survival and how to assemble your own spaceship and take off to distant galaxies.

And this is precisely where one of Empyrion's greatest strengths lies: shipbuilding. Thanks to the modular system, you can create any spaceship, no matter how crazy. The community also offers pretty much everything that is famous in space films and games via the Steam Workshop.

In the vastness of space, you will discover new resources on alien planets, space nightclubs and much, much more.

With the Dark Faction DLC, the developers promise a new scenario including a new story about the "Dark Faction", a completely new environment, new items as well as new melee weapons and a generally expanded melee system.
