EXFIL is a tactical military simulation that combines extraction shooter gameplay with sandbox elements. There is a strong focus on realism and player freedom. The core gameplay starts with 2 different extraction modes - a classic variant and a rogue mode in which a small group has to escape an overwhelming number of opponents through tactical approach.

The developers also focus on believable combat. A cornerstone of this is the weapon and bullet physics as well as the physically correct calculation of surface hits, which means that players must always pay attention to their surroundings.

At the Early Access launch, EXFIL offers, among other things:

• 2 different extraction modes (classic and rogue)
• 5 very different and detailed maps (North Woods, Port Lobos, Camp Osprey, Mologa, District and New-Renegade Oil)
• Weather system with rain, fog, sandstorms and more + 24h day/night cycle
