Rust - “Going Deep” with the new update
The survival game "Rust" has been on the market since 2013 and is currently one of the top 15 most played games on Steam. It had around 29,000 players on the servers at peak times, and with the new underwater update, the developers are throwing a tasty bait for the players for whom the game has since fallen into oblivion.
Rust – Off into the cold water with countless new features!
The title “Going Deep” says it all – this update takes you to the depths of the sea! With improved underwater visibility, you’ll be able to navigate better from now on – especially in the new floating tin cans that can be bought for 200 or 300 scrap in fishing villages: the Subs (submarines).

New monuments, tools, and weapons
Aside from updating the visuals of ammunition, food, and medicine, there is much more to discover in the new update. For one thing, there are now underwater labs in the depths, where puzzles, loot, but also enemy NPCs are waiting for you. Underwater you will find sharks, which you can fight with the new spearguns. Finally, Rust finally has a fishing rod and the function to fish in waters. And you’ll get more than just fish…
