As we have already mentioned HERE, there is NO possibility to create backups for Dune: Awakening servers. This results in some important information that you should consider.

  • If you join a World on your GPORTAL server (Hardcore (PvP), PvEvP, Roleplay, Free for All), then your character is only playable in this World
    • You can find all information about the Worlds and their functions HERE

Important information on changing Worlds (Battlegroups)

  • Since the major Chapter 3 update for Dune: Awakening, you can easily switch bases and characters between battlegroups (worlds)

Playing together with other players

  • You can only play together with those players outside your server and meet them in the game World (e.g. in the social hubs) who are in the same region (e.g. Europe, US West, US Mid, etc.) AND the same World as you are
  • In Dune: Awakening there is the so-called “Deep Desert”, an endgame PvP area where you meet other players and fight for the valuable resource Spice
    • These areas are ALWAYS and necessarily enabled for PvP, there is no option to change this to PvE (this is intended by the game)
    • If you want to travel to the “Deep Desert” with a friend in your World, you should create a group with them or form a clan (there may be additional requirements when forming a clan)
  • You can theoretically join other servers within your World
    • To join, you need the server password of the respective server
  • You CANNOT play with people who are in a different World or region
