On February 2, 2021, Valheim came to the gaming world and took the hearts of the sandbox crafting survival community by storm. A year has passed since then, but what adventures await us in 2022?

1 year on Odin’s path
When Valheim was released in February 2021, it managed to take the hearts of genre fans by storm. Shortly after its release, more than 5 million Vikings roamed the world of Valheim, building fortresses, fighting trolls and terrifying bosses.
We were amazed by the vastness of the world, built more or less beautiful homes, laughed at our own cockiness and cursed the 10th death when we went into battle against the “Ancient One” and thought we were incredibly strong after “Eikthyr” went down so easily.
New adventures in 2022
The developers have announced new adventures for Valheim for 2022. First, we can expect the “Mountain Update”, which the developers have already teased with some screenshots. This is supposed to revise the mountain region and make it more interesting by adding caves, among other things. Hopefully, we’ll soon be able to find out for ourselves what exactly we’ll find in them.
Later this year, the “Mistlands Update” will be released. What exactly will be included in the update, except for the Mistlands that give its name, is not yet known. The developers want to keep some of the core features a secret. On Steam, however, there was a nice concept image of a new enemy that we will probably get to see.
