Huge 3.0 update "Age of Sorcery" for Conan Exiles is coming
Funcom has lifted the curtain on what Conan Exiles players can expect in the near future. And this upcoming 3.0 update is by far the biggest update Conan Exiles players have ever received.
A short look back
Last year in the livestream for the big update 2.6, the devs had already teased that something big would be coming in 2022. Many had already speculated that update 3.0 would come and have a gigantic scope. And it looks like they were right.

It will be magical!
As the name “Age of Sorcery” suggests, sorcery will finally find its way into the game. This will be divided into different parts.
There will be rituals, spells and illusions. Rituals are more for crafting or creating servants and mounts. Depending on the ritual, sacrifices will have to be made.
Illusions, on the other hand, will please all players who always want to look good and fearsome, but also want to keep the best stats on their gear. Illusions allow you to give one piece of armor the look of another: basically transmog in Conan Exiles.
But there will be even more features, such as a fast travel system.
New building system
The previous building system was not really pleasant to use, especially for gamepad users, which is why the developers are reworking it and explicitly adapting it to gamepads. This includes giving the building menu a new look and making it much more user-friendly.
On top of that, there will also be a “creative mode” in the future, with which you can easily build your perfect fortress without any restrictions. We are already excited to see what the community will create with it.
Battle Pass and Ingame Shop (Black Lotus Bazaar)
Conan Exiles has been on the market for a few years now and is constantly evolving. That’s why the developers also wanted to take a look at the monetization.
Cosmetic DLC packs will no longer be a thing in the future. Instead, the developers will offer new cosmetic items, mounts, weapons and armor in a brand-new Battlepass, and you can also buy cosmetics in the new in-game store.
In order to progress your Battlepass, all you have to do is play the game. There will be matching daily tasks, through which you will gain experience, which will then allow your Battlepass to progress.
Perks and abilities
It’s also time to take another look at the perks and abilities in the game. The developers want to revise them so that little-used perks are improved and simply bring a breath of fresh air to the game.
Part of the overhaul is the “Corruption” system, which gives you more and more power the more you devote yourself to “Corruption”. “Corruption” is linked to the stats Strength, Vitality and Charisma and not only gives you new perks and abilities, but also changes your physical appearance.
