How to Change Player Permissions Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria
To change or customize player permissions on your server, follow these steps:
- Before making any changes, stop your server from the GPortal interface to avoid data conflicts.
- Create a Backup (Recommended), go to the Administration tab and create a backup of your server. This ensures you can easily restore your server if anything goes wrong.
- Navigate to the file: MoriaServerPermissions.txt
This file controls permission settings for all players. you can set default permissions for all players or assign custom permissions to specific users using their Steam or Epic Games ID.

Example Format:
Default = AllConstruction,AllStorage
<Epic:0002dec0d5e444948de0bcadff603ccf> Quinn = Default
<Steam:000259cdac6148eeb8d81571791b7362> GPORTAL = QuickBuild,NoStorage
Player-specific permissions allow you to override the default settings for individual users by referencing their unique Steam or Epic Games ID.
Each player entry should follow this format:
<Platform:PlayerID> PlayerName = PermissionSet
For example:
<Steam:000259cdac6148eeb8d81571791b7362> GPORTAL = QuickBuild,NoStorage
This tells the server to apply custom permissions only for that player, instead of using the default.
It should look like this:

Make sure to save the file and restart the server for changes to take effect.
