How does cross-play work on my GPORTAL Valheim server for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch?
Valheim supports cross-play across all platforms. PC and Xbox have been able to play together for some time now. PlayStation and Nintendo Switch have now been added to the mix.
PlayStation
Cross-play on PlayStation generally works without any issues, but you’ll need to disable one option.
Specifically, you’ll need to disable “PlayStation Network Only” in the in-game menu (bottom left) so you can successfully connect to a server. After that, you shouldn’t have any further problems joining other servers.
Nintendo Switch
There are absolutely no restrictions on the Nintendo Switch, and everything is delightfully simple. You should be able to join a session directly using a friend code. In any case, we didn’t find any other restrictions or requirements.
