How do I use “Adkats”?

“Adkats” is a very important tool for admins, which helps them to carry out their tasks better and more efficiently.

First of all, you need the HeidiSQL tool. You can download the tool HERE and then install it.

Now you need the Adkats.sql, which you can find HERE. You need a Github account and must be logged in.

Now open HeidiSQL and add your files for the database. You can find them in the left side panel under: Procon -> MySQL

As soon as this has worked, a new window will open where you can see the database. It will look something like this:

First deactivate “Stop on errors in batch mode” (must not be highlighted in blue).

Then select the database (left-click on it). Now you have two options:

  • You insert the content of the SQL manually
  • You load the SQL

As there are SQL files which can be very large, we recommend using the last variant.

To do this, go to the top left: File -> Execute SQL file …

Select Adkats.sql in the next window and click on “Open”. A warning message opens, which you confirm with “Yes” (below is shown a german version but you should see something like that just in english).

The SQL is now executed and all data is integrated. A message may appear that looks like this:

This message can be closed by clicking on “OK”. The data will still be inserted (below is shown a german version but you should see something like that just in english).
