How do I upload an existing savegame to my Enshrouded server?

You can use both locally saved saves and saves used on other servers on your GPORTAL server.

Where can I find my local game saves?

Depending on whether you upload your savegame to the Steam Cloud or not, you can find it under the following paths:

With Steam Cloud
- \Steam\userdata\YourSteamID\1203620\remote
Without Steam Cloud
- C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\Enshrouded
Sort by Date Modified to find your main world file and the accompanying _info or _index file

Now that you have your desired savegame files, proceed as follows:

Stop the server: Go to your GPORTAL Web Interface and shut down your server to prevent file corruption
Get your FTP details: Find your FTP access data (host, username, password, and port) on your GPORTAL status page
Clear existing server saves: Navigate to the savegame or saves folder on your GPORTAL server and back up or delete the old default world files
Rename and upload: Upload your local world files to the server’s save directory. Ensure you rename the uploaded files on the server to match the default name expected by a dedicated server (3ad85aea and 3ad85aea_info (_index))
Important: Before you upload data, you should change the “Transfer Type” in Filezilla to “Binary” (see screenshot)

Restart the server: Start your server back up through the GPORTAL panel so it loads your uploaded world

Now that your server has started successfully, your server should continue with your former local savegame. Have fun in Enshrouded!
