Why Backups Matter
Windrose is in Early Access, which means world-corrupting bugs can occur. Regular backups protect your co-op progress, your builds, and your ships. GPORTAL makes backup creation a one-click process.
Creating a Backup
- Log in to g-portal.com
- Go to My Servers → Windrose
- Click on the Backup tab
- Click Save Current State – the backup is created instantly
Tip: Create a backup before every major update or after a big gaming session to preserve your progress.
Restoring a Backup
- Stop your Windrose server first
- Go to My Servers → Windrose → Backup
- Select the backup you want to restore from the list
- Click Restore and confirm
- Start the server again
Warning: Restoring a backup will overwrite your current world state. Make sure to save a backup of the current state first if needed.
