What You Need
Before renting a Windrose server at GPORTAL, you’ll need a GPORTAL account and a copy of Windrose on Steam. GPORTAL recommends 6–8 player slots for the best co-op experience. Your server deploys in under 3 minutes.
Renting Your Server at GPORTAL
- Go to g-portal.com → Windrose Server Hosting
- Choose your desired number of slots
- Select a server location
- Choose a rental period (up to 365 days)
- Complete payment – your server will be ready within 3 minutes
Starting the Server for the First Time
Once your server is active in the GPORTAL web interface:
- Log in at my.g-portal.com
- Navigate to My Servers → Windrose
- Click Start -> the status indicator turns green when ready
- Open the Settings tab to configure player count, server name, and password
Tip: Set a server password in the settings to control who can join during setup.
Connecting to Your Server
In Windrose, open Multiplayer → Join Server and enter the Invite Code shown in your GPORTAL dashboard. Alternatively, your friends can join directly via Steam invite while you are in-game.
