Welcome to Kinlaig - a place that seems straight out of a Scottish fairytale, but in reality is the new map in Farming Simulator 25. The new map is no simple expansion, it offers real experience and adventure. Kinlaig is the perfect mix of farming, aquaculture, production, visual highlights and construction projects.
Atmosphere is a key factor in Kinlaig
As soon as you take your first step in Kinlaig, you can practically breathe in the surroundings. The fresh air of the Highlands, the wind blowing through the grass-covered meadows, the lighthouse lighting the way in the distance and quaint villages with the smoke from the chimneys above - the new FS25 Kinlaig Map is an incredible experience, especially in winter. This vibrant and immersive world of the Scottish Highlands will make you put your work aside and pause for a moment, and not just once.

Fluffy highland cattle and fish farming
Not only is the beautiful landscape of the Kinlaig map visually impressive, the first time you encounter the Highland cattle is also a great experience and blends in perfectly with the map. But apart from their appearance, these animals are above all robust and therefore very well suited to the Scottish weather and hilly terrain. Their care is similar to that of other types of cattle in Farming Simulator 25 - TMR is the best feed, and of course they need water and clean, large stables.

In addition to classic animal husbandry, Kinlaig also offers a completely new type of farming by water. You can set up your own fish farms and do so professionally with large fish farms. You can breed two types of fish: salmon and trout. You start with a small young fish farm and can produce new products and grow your fish in a fish farming facility. Later, you transport the fish to the harbor or to companies that process the fish. However, you can also catch individual fish with your own fishing rod, as Kinlaig offers both relaxation AND a great economy.
Revolutionize the onion in FS25
At first glance, onions don't seem all that exciting and rather boring, but in Kinlaig everything is different. Onions in Farming Simulator 25 require real manual labor; sow them in spring, tend them carefully and remove the green plant remains so that your harvesting machine can get to work. After a successful and large harvest, you can of course process your onions for profit and use various production chains. Whether onion salt, onion soup or roasted onions - you have a wide range of options to boost your income.

Kinlaig as a stronghold of production
The new Kinlaig map in Farming Simulator 25 is packed to the brim with all kinds of production chains. You'll find a total of 12 businesses on the new map, from sawmills and carpentry to stonemasons, bakeries, fish feed factories and a specially built windmill. There are also a total of 26 stores, ranging from the market in the small village to the industrial harbor. The harbor is the main focus of the economy on the water. Ships come in, fish are loaded and unloaded and, of course, all kinds of goods are exported. So if you want to expand your fish farm in FS25, this is your new home.
Put your own hands to work on the windmill and castle
Kinlaig not only offers you new agricultural technology and new animals and plants in Farming Simulator 25 - you can also build two real structures with your own hands.
Windmill - from construction to production
Initially, the windmill in FS25 is just a large construction site, an empty foundation with a pile of stones. However, as soon as you buy the land on which the windmill can be built, you can deliver the required materials and construction can begin. You will need to collect a number of materials, including bags of cement, wooden beams, long boards, ropes and roof shingles.
As soon as you have delivered all the materials, the windmill can come to life and become a real production building. The windmill is just as functional as all other production buildings and is used, for example, to process grain into flour. The windmill in Farming Simulator 25 is therefore not only a welcome change, but also very profitable and of course a visual highlight.

Castle - Experience history
Let's get to the heart of Kinlaig. Before being built, the castle is an ancient abandoned ruin perched on a hill and surrounded by fog. You don't need to purchase an extra plot of land here, you can start rebuilding the castle straight away.
Of course, the Kinlaig Castle in FS25 also requires some materials. You will need cement bags, long boards, roof shingles and wooden beams, among other things. Even if the construction of the castle is time-consuming, it is definitely worth it. As soon as the castle is completed, it becomes a point of sale offering particularly high prices for wood, building materials or high-quality products. In addition, the item Book of the Castle is unlocked, which brings together all the stories of the bottle posts that you can find in the course of the game.

Bottle posts as FS25 Kinlaig collectibles
Throughout Kinlaig you can find 12 bottle posts, which are depicted as small glass bottles with weathered notes inside. Each bottle post contains a part of the story of Kinlaig on the note inside, which gradually builds up into a picture. If you have already built Kinlaig Castle, you can open the complete book right there and learn all about the history of Kinlaig.
