First major Palworld update: Raid Boss and more

Raid Bosses - are you ready for this?

We start with the biggest and most exciting aspect of the first Palworld update. Pocketpair has added new Pals called Raid Bosses to the very popular survival game. They are very strong, must be invoked via a Summoning Altar and, unlike all previous bosses, cannot be captured with a Pal Sphere. The first Raid Boss in Palworld has the sonorous name "Bellanoir" and has a very dark and mysterious appearance. We don't know too much about Bellanoir yet, but one thing is for sure: the fights against Bellanoir and all upcoming Raid Bosses will definitely not be easy.

You can summon the Raid Bosses with the help of the new Summoning Altar. As far as we know, you have to reach level 33 in the Technology Tree and need 3 Ancient Technology Points to unlock the Summoning Altar. You can then create the Altar itself with 100x Stone and 20x Paldium Fragments. Once the Altar has been built, you must now "sacrifice" so-called Slabs so that you can summon a Raid Boss. The slabs are intended for the Raid Boss shown on them. This means that you have to collect four slab fragments of the same Raid Boss in order to create the finished slab, which you then sacrifice at the altar. However, be warned: since you always summon a Raid Boss to your base through the Summoning Altar, it is imperative that you are well equipped and prepared so that you are not caught off guard and end up with your entire base in ruins. After a successful fight against the Raid Boss, you can even get Pal Eggs from him if you're lucky.

Hint: if the normal fight against a Raid Boss is not enough for you, you also have the option of summoning a more extreme version of the Raid Boss. Warning: do this at your own risk!

More new features in Palworld Update v0.2.0.6

• Training Manual: these manuals are items that you can find and use to give your Pals more experience points
• Ancient Technical Manual: also new manuals that you can find in dungeons in Palworld. You can use them to collect Ancient Technology Points instead of, for example, fighting Alpha Pals as before
• Medicine: there are now medicines that you can use to recover health points over time
• Homeward Thundercloud: with this item you can get to your nearest base in no time at all
• Ability Glasses: you can unlock these sporty-looking glasses from level 34 in the Technology Tree with 4 Ancient Technology Points. These glasses allow you to see the stats of wild Pals at a glance without having to catch them. This way, you know immediately whether it is worth catching the Pal at all. You will need 30x Refined Ingots, 20x Paldium Fragments, 10x Ancient Civilization Parts and 5x Ancient Civilization Cores to craft the glasses
• New items to increase the stats of Pals when used
• Ring of Mercy: you can wear this item while keeping the health of attacked, wild Pals from dropping below 1 HP. This is particularly useful if you really want to catch a wild Pal and there is a good chance that you will accidentally kill it without the ring. You can craft the ring from level 19 in the Technology Tree and need 2 Ancient Technology Points to unlock it. The following resources are required for production: 30x Ingots, 20x Paldium Fragments and 5x Ancient Civilization Parts
• New passive ability Mercy Hit: if a Pal has this new passive ability, attacked Pals are not reduced below 1 HP, so it's effectively the equivalent of the Ring of Mercy for the player
• Multiclimate Undershirt: this item combines resistance to heat and cold at the same time
• Electric Egg Incubator: there is now an incubator that can maintain the optimum temperature for each egg thanks to electricity
• Ore Mining Site: from now on, you can also mine ore in the comfort of your own base without having to travel long distances to do so
• Pal Adjustments: some changes have also been made here, some Pals can craft new items and, for example, negative stats on Pals can be canceled after staying in a Pal Box
• Pal Count: while aiming at a Pal with a Pal Sphere, you will now be shown how many of this type of Pal you have already caught
• Pal Cooldowns: the abilities of your Pals have a cooldown. You can now see this time on the main screen
• Values and Stats of Items: in the Technology Tree, you can now see the Values and Stats of individual items and equipment without having to unlock them
• Tutorial improvement: there is also a new feature for absolute Palworld newcomers, as the tutorial has been revised and is now called Journal
• Size adjustment of Damage Scores: in raid boss fights, you can adjust the size of the damage scores, for a better overview
• Pal Management: you can now forbid or allow your Pals to only do certain jobs
• Chest Filtering: you can now set which items are allowed or forbidden in certain chests. This is particularly useful for getting a better overview of resources
• Crafted items in chests: Items that have been crafted are now automatically sorted into chests
• Building rules changed: building parts can be placed more easily and differently than before thanks to relaxed rules
• Legendary blueprints for firearms: you can obtain these after successfully fighting certain enemy foes
• Flying and swimming Pals: these Pal types are now immune to falling damage, woohoo!
