New Gen update for Rust Console Edition coming

The release period for the new gen has been announced

So far there has been no specific date for the Rust Console New Gen release - and there still isn't - but there is a time frame. It's supposed to be this summer, so the hype is definitely real and there's finally a good reason for a lot of excitement. However, Double Eleven also mentions that there is a possibility that the release date could be postponed again, but we can be sure that they will communicate this transparently and soon enough.

End of the old gen and cost of the new gen

With the switch to the new console generation, Double Eleven is completely shifting its focus and work to the future. There will be one last wipe in October and after that there will be no further updates or patches for the PS4 or Xbox One. However, Double Eleven has come up with something special for a fitting conclusion, namely the so-called “Wipe of Wipes”. After that, you can simply switch to the New Gen version and rediscover the Rust Console Edition - with better graphics, better performance and more potential!

You've probably wondered whether you'll have to dig into your pockets again for the Rust Console New Gen, but there's some very good news: everyone who already owns the current Rust Console Edition will receive a free upgrade. Double Eleven has confirmed that there will be a PTB for the Rust Console Edition New Gen. However, it is not yet clear when exactly it will be available as it has not yet been finalized, but Double Eleven has confirmed that they will communicate when exactly the PTB will become public.
