How to kick/ban players from your V Rising server

If you are playing on your V Rising server, you may want to kick or ban unwanted players. As a server admin, you can do this via the in-game console, but also via the ban list in the server interface.

Kick players with commands

As a server administrator, you can kick a player via the console using the /kick command. You will also need the character name, the IP or the user ID.

  • Open the console with Shift + ‘
  • Now enter ‘kick <playername/IP/UserID>’ and press Enter

Ban players with commands

The easiest way to ban a player from your server is to use the command /bancharacter in combination with the character name as administrator.

  • Open the console with Shift + ‘
  • Enter ‘bancharacter CharacterName’ and press Enter

Unban players with commands

Sometimes it happens that you want to unban a player. You can do this as an admin with the command /unban and the Steam64ID of a player.

  • Open the console with Shift + ‘
  • Enter ‘unban <Steam64ID>’ and press Enter

Use the ban list

As an alternative to the previous methods, you can use the ban list in your server interface.

  • Log in to your account on our G-Portal website
  • Navigate to your V Rising server
  • Go to the basic options in the left bar
  • Scroll down to the ban list
  • Here you can ban a player with their Steam 64 ID
You can find the ID here, for example: https://steamid.io/
