All Hytale Workbenches and Stations
Do you have a full inventory of rubble, wood, and stones and are wondering which Hytale workbench you need now? To ensure you don't go into this completely blind and know right away which workbench is needed for what and how to upgrade it, you've come to the right place.
Workbenches as a separate progress system
Hytale doesn't do things by halves when it comes to crafting, and you'll notice that as soon as you build your first workbench. Instead of using a single workbench for everything, there are several that are intended for different uses. With each newly built workbench, it feels like a small level-up moment. New recipes, new possibilities, and even completely new game mechanics are opened up to you.
Once you have an overview of what each Hytale workbench can do and how it can help you progress, you'll save time and resources and make more progress.
Hytale Workbench – The beginning of everything
Your workbench story begins with the standard workbench. All you need is 4 logs and 3 stones. You can collect both materials almost incidentally, and then you'll have your first workbench. The first workbench is the centerpiece of your progress.
All items that you already know from Hytale Pocket Crafting, i.e., crafting from your inventory, can also be crafted at the workbench. Even your first tools, including pickaxes, axes, and other tools, are made from basic materials such as stone. Later on, you can even craft items made of adamantite. Items such as wooden or metal spikes for defense, as well as the very important Hytale backpack, are crafted here. And most importantly: All other Hytale stations and workbenches are built at your first workbench.
In short: without this first workbench, nothing will work in Hytale.

Builder's Workbench – Expansion for everything
The foundation is laid, and soon you'll want more. This is where the Hytale Builder's Workbench comes in. This workbench is for everything that even remotely resembles “building.” Many of the blocks in Hytale can be placed in the workbench and further processed. This results in new building elements such as roofs, walls, decorative blocks, and even stairs. With the Builder's Workbench, simple blocks become real architecture. You can craft the Hytale Builder's Workbench from 6 logs and 3 stones.

Armorer's Workbench – Armor upgrades
You'll probably survive your first few battles without heavy armor, but as soon as you encounter tougher opponents and enter dungeons, you'll need protection. With the Hytale Armorer's Workbench, you can craft complete armor sets that will protect you and hopefully keep you alive for a long time. To craft the workbench, you need 2 copper bars, 10 logs, and 5 stones. Equip yourself with a helmet, chestplate, legguards, boots, and a shield, and you're ready to venture into more dangerous areas.

Farmer's Workbench – Everything related to farming
Armor, tools, weapons – all these things are important in Hytale, of course. However, good economics and crop cultivation are just as important. You can get all of this with the Farmer's Workbench.
Here you can craft tools for cultivation, including a hoe, which you need to prepare the fields, scissors, seeds, tree saplings and plant pots. You can also craft items to bring your base to life, such as a chicken coop, traps or a box for catching animals. To craft the Farmer's Workbench, you need 6 logs and 20 fibers.

Furniture Workbench – Making it cozy
A functional, simple base is important, of course, but at some point, you'll want a real home. With just 6 logs and 4 stones, the world of the Hytale Furniture Workbench opens up to you and there's no turning back. You get a huge selection of furnishing options such as beds, lamps, tables, shelves, cabinets, decorations – everything your heart desires.

Alchemist's Workbench – Potions and Buffs
Preparation is everything, so you should definitely build the Hytale Alchemist's Workbench for 20 stones, 10 poison sacks, 10 bone fragments, and 5 gold ingots. You can do this at the workbench from Tier 2 onwards.
At this workbench, you can craft potions for healing and other buffs that can save you in dicey situations. Other potions can improve your stamina or give you advantages in combat. A special feature: you can craft potions that transform you into an animal. So before you venture into dangerous areas or take on boss fights, be sure to fill your inventory with all kinds of helpful items.

Salvager's Workbench – Trash in, useful stuff out
Looting is one of the biggest topics in Hytale. But at some point, broken weapons and tools, unnecessary items, or old Hytale armor start to pile up. This is where the Salvager's Workbench comes in. Put various items in here and you'll get some materials back. Although these are not as high-quality as the original resources, this workbench is still extremely practical.
Instead of simply throwing things away, you can recycle them and at least get some use out of them. You can craft the Hytale Salvager's Workbench from 6 iron ingots, 5 logs, and 5 stones at the normal workbench at Tier 2.

Arcanist's Workbench – Welcome to the Endgame
Things get wild with this workbench. The Hytale Arcanist's Workbench definitely belongs in the advanced game. Just to craft it at the Tier 2 workbench, you need 30 fabric scraps, 20 Essence of the Void, and 10 thorium ingots.
The workbench can then be used to craft particularly powerful items such as portals, the Ancient Gateway, and magical staff weapons. You can also craft magical totems and artifacts here, which give you advantages in combat or exploration. These options drastically change your gameplay – but in a totally positive way. Faster travel, valuable magic, and features that feel like endgame are all combined here.

More than workbenches – these Hytale stations complete the picture
Currently, there are a total of eight workbenches in Hytale that transport you to new worlds in a variety of ways. But there are other stations you can build. These may seem unremarkable at first glance, but they become extremely important at a certain point in the game.
Blacksmith's Anvil – Metal, folks!
The Blacksmith's Anvil is all about metal and weapons. Here you can process any type of metal into weapons such as swords, daggers, bows, or even maces and high-quality tools. So once you've smelted some metal ore into ingots, you should build the Blacksmith's Anvil. To do this, you'll need 10 logs, 5 stones, and 2 copper ingots.

Furnace – Time to heat things up
The Hytale Furnace is responsible for processing ores. You build the station with 6 logs and 6 stones and can process all ores into ingots. You can use sticks, logs, or coal as fuel. While the Hytale Furnace melts ore into bars, you will regularly receive coal as a by-product, which you can use as fuel. If you ever reach a point where you need a lot of bars, it is definitely worth building several furnaces.

Tanning Rack – High-quality leather for upgrades
At some point, you'll need to replenish your health bar, and what better way to do that than by hunting large or small animals? This will provide you with not only meat, but also animal hides. There are three types of hides: light, medium, and heavy.
So it's time for the Hytale Tanning Rack, which you can craft from 6 logs, 3 stones, and 3 light animal hides. When you return from your hunting trip, place the animal hides on the Tanning Rack, wait a moment, and you'll receive leather, which you'll need as a material for armor, weapons, and other items.

Campfire – Satisfy your hunger
What better way to show that you've finally set up your own camp than with a campfire? With just 4 sticks and 2 stone rubble piles, you can create a cozy atmosphere. If you have raw meat or fish in your bag, place it in the campfire and light it with wood to start the cooking process. Simple cooking for minimal effort, but perfect for beginners.

Chef's Stove – Food for buffs
You can build an upgrade to the simple campfire using 10 logs, 5 stones, and 2 copper ingots. At this station, you can cook complete meals that not only fill your health bar, but also grant additional buffs and improve your regeneration. These include skewers of meat, fruit, or vegetables, but also things like salads, popcorn, or bread. Especially if you are planning a long expedition, you should not neglect proper nutrition.

The workbenches are ready – all that's missing are teammates and the right Hytale server
The Hytale crafting system thrives on the fact that many of the workbenches and stations interlock, allowing you to develop almost entire production chains. It would be completely normal to lose track of things at some point, because the game has many tasks in store for you. If you choose Hytale multiplayer for you and your friends, you have the advantage that everyone can take on their own role. And to make sure everything runs smoothly, you can secure your high-performance Hytale server at GPORTAL. No more worries, except for full crates and a little chaos.
