Basic server configuration

Create backup

You can create backups for your GPORTAL server if you want to. You receive free storage space for saving your game play.

Note Please note that backups are not created automatically.

How to create a backup via the web interface:

  1. Log on to our website
  2. Click on “My Servers” in the menu on the left
  3. Select the desired server
  4. Click on “Backup” in the “Administration” menu on the left
  5. Click on “Create Backup“
  6. The server stops for the backup
  7. After creating the backup, the server restarts automatically

  • You see the backup in the list below

Uploading mods using FTP

Connect with the FTP client on your server. FTP data can be found on the GPORTAL web interface.

  1. Log on with your GPORTAL account
  2. Choose the server on the left side
  3. Stop the server
  4. Make a note of the FTP access data
  5. Connect with the FTP client on the server
  6. Upload the mod folder in the main directory
  7. Replace spaces with underscores “_” – eg. “@Weapon_Redux_Pack”
  8. Navigate to the mod folder and copy the key
  9. Navigate back to the main directory
  10. Move the key to the \keys\ folder
  11. Restart the server in the web interface

How to Install DayZ mods after the upload?

  1. Log on to our website
  2. Click on “My Server” in the menu on the left
  3. Select the server
  4. Stop the server
  5. Click on “Mods” in the menu on the left
  6. Choose the available mods
  7. Click on “Save”
  8. Mods are installed
  9. Restart the server

NoteOnly start the server when all mods are installed, otherwise errors may occur.

How to connect to a server?

  1. Open Steam and click on “View”
  2. Click on “Servers”
  3. Navigate to “Favorites” and right mouse click in the empty field
  4. Enter your server’s IP and Query Port

How Persistent servers works?

Persistent Servers allow players to travel around with their belongings. In DayZ, a tent is needed to transfer character data and belongings to another server.
Vehicles cannot be transferred.

Transfers will only work if both servers have Persistence Mode activated.

How do I play the Livonia map?

  • Stop your server
  • Change the mission to “dayzoffline.enoch”
  • Save the settings
  • Start your server and the server will load the Livonia-map
