Install Mods on your server

  1. To get started, register yourself at mod.io
  2. Log into your mod.io account and click on your profile
  3. At the left side, click on “API-Access”
  4. Now you see OAuth 2 Management and Generate Access Token. Enter a name for your token, give it read access and click “Create Token”.
  5. Copy the created token (its a long string with mixed characters)
  6. Stop your complete server
  7. Switch back to the GPORTAL-basicsettings and activate the mods.
  8. Enter the created token.
  9. Below, add the number of the mod you find at the mod-page on mod.io, you don’t have to modify the startparameter. This happens automatically
  10. IMPORTANT: Define the scenario, which is loaded after the mod. Otherwise no mod will work! This is set like this:
    Mapname?Scenario=scenario of the custommap
  11. Save everything and start the server

Important The bigger the mod is, the longer it takes for the download. If you use big mods, it can take up to 45 minutes, till they are properly installed on the server. After this time, just restart the server and everything is shown ingame. Make sure, that you activate the filter ingame, that you see server with installed mods.

Using modmaps

To use a modmap, first install the mod from mod.io ike mentioned above. After you did that, you define the startparameters with the help of your basicsettings.

  1. Set the mapchoice to “Custom”
  2. Enter the mapname at “Custom Map Name”
  3. Define the scenario of the custom map
  4. If the map has a custom lightning, define this as well
  5. IMPORTANT: Define the scenario, which is loaded after the mod (mandatory). This is set like this:
    Mapname?Scenario=scenario of the custommap
