How to make concrete in Minecraft
The process of making concrete is a bit more laborious than making most other building materials. To make concrete you first need concrete powder.
Making concrete powder
Concrete powder is made from sand and gravel, along with any dye. Yes, that’s right – a dye. Because concrete powder always comes in a color. You can choose from 16 different color options, whether it’s classic white, gray or squeaky pink.
You now need four sand blocks, four gravel blocks and any dye of your choice for your concrete powder. Then, place the sand in the far corners of your workbench inventory, the gravel in the remaining positions, and the dye in the middle. This will create eight blocks of concrete powder.

4x sand + 4x gravel + 1x colorant (of your choice) = dry concrete
Dry concrete, by the way, is gravity-dependent and has a powdery appearance.
Making concrete
Now that concrete powder, say white, has been made, you can turn it into concrete. Here, an unusual manufacturing method is necessary: To obtain concrete the concrete powder must come into contact with standing or flowing water.

Dry concrete + contact with water = concrete
The simplest method is to place concrete powder in the water at the edge of a river, lake or sea. This creates concrete, which can be removed with a pickaxe.
Some also prefer a “concrete construction site”. This involves building a sort of large pool (rectangle of stone filled with water) and then adding the concrete powder blocks.
Other players create their own methods of ensuring the flow of water on the dry concrete, but in principle it does not matter how you do it. The main thing is that the concrete powder is in contact with water. Attention: Simply putting the concrete powder in the rain has no effect, unfortunately.
Concrete Fun Fact
Concrete is a popular building material with many players because it is very resistant to explosions. So, if you have problems with creepers, you should urgently build some wall blocks out of concrete: Creepers hate this trick!
