Create backup

You can create backups for your GPORTAL server if you want to. You receive free storage space for saving your game play.

Note Please note that backups are not created automatically.

How to create a backup via the web interface:

  1. Log on to our website
  2. Click on “My Servers” in the menu on the left
  3. Select the desired server
  4. Click on “Backup” in the “Administration” menu on the left
  5. Click on “Create Backup
  6. The server stops for the backup
  7. After creating the backup, the server restarts automatically

How can I download my Core Keeper world?

You can download your world from your server to upload it again later or use it offline. You only need to follow a few steps:

  • First stop your server via our web interface
  • Now establish a FTP connection to your server (more information about the FTP connection can be found HERE)
  • After you have established the connection, follow the path below on your PC:
    /core-keeper/DedicatedServer/worlds
  • Then drag the world.gzip file from the server and drop it into the folder on your PC.
  • After the download is finished, you can start your server again.

How do I upload a world to my Core Keeper server?

Follow the steps below to upload a world to your Core Keeper server:

  • First stop your server via our web interface
  • Now establish a FTP connection to your server (more info about FTP connection can be found HERE)
  • After you have established the connection, follow the path below on your server:
    /core-keeper/DedicatedServer/worlds
  • On your PC also follow the path below (this is where your saved worlds are located):
    C:\Users{USERNAME}\AppData\LocalLow\Pugstorm\Core Keeper\Steam{STEAM_ID}\worlds
  • Now choose from the folder the world you want to upload to your server
    -> You will see a world with the same number in front of it for each save in the game
    -> save 1 has a 1 in the filename, save 2 has a 2, and so on …
  • Then drag the desired world into the previously opened “worlds” folder on your server
  • After the upload is finished, go back to our webinterface on the website
  • Open the basic settings of your Core Keeper server and look for the item “World Index”.
  • Here you now enter the slot of the save that fits the map you just uploaded
    -> Example: If you have previously uploaded the world from save slot 2, enter a 2 as index here
  • Then save and start the server again
