Basic server configuration

Become an Admin

  1. Log on with your GPORTAL account
  2. Select the server
  3. Click on “Basic Settings” in the menu on the left
  4. Stop the server
  5. Enter the selected password in “Administrator Password
  6. Save the changes and restart the server

In the game, press the “~” button and enter the following command:

/GM YOURADMINPASSWORD

ImportantKeyboard shortcuts only work if the value “isGM” is set to “1” in the MySQL database. If you are not sure how to change this, please contact our Customer Happiness Team.

Server configuration

Variable Information
<ID>XXXXXXXX%</ID> This ID is assigned by the server and must not be edited by the customer.
<name>G-Portal.com LiF Serverhosting</name> Define the server name in this variable. This cannot be longer than 63 characters.
<password></password> If the server has a password, you can set this here. No value means “no password”. The password cannot be longer than 32 characters.
<adminPassword></adminPassword> Here, you can set the Admin password. This is needed to administer the server. If the value is empty, Admin mode is deactivated. Again, the password cannot be longer than 32 characters.
<mode>Sandbox</mode> This variable is a placeholder for the future and contains no action.
<isActive>1</isActive> With “isActive”, you decide whether the server should be shown in the list (value: 1) or not (value: 0).
<skillsStatsMult>10</skillsStatsMult> Skill multiplicator, 1 is vanilla. Minimum is 0.1, maximum is 100
<skillcap>600</skillcap> Maximum amount of skill points, 600 is vanilla. Minimum is 200, maximum is 3000
<terraformingSpeed>4</terraformingSpeed> Defines who quickly a tunnel can be built. Maximum value (60) should not be exceeded.
<craftingPeriod>60</craftingPeriod> This value shows ticks (comparable to seconds) which are needed for e.g. burning objects. The value should be between 1 and 3600.
<animalBFPeriod>60</animalBFPeriod> This value shows ticks (comparable to seconds) which are needed for e.g. Breeding new animals or growing cereals. The value should be between 1 and 600.
<dayCycle>3</dayCycle> The value defines the length of a game day in real time hours. The standard value is 3. The value should be between 0.5 and 24. It should be noted that this affects e.g. tree growth.
<animalsCount>0</animalsCount> With this value you set the maximum number of spawning animals. The value should be between 0 and 100, otherwise this could lead to lags.
<maxPlayers>24</maxPlayers> The “maxPlayers” value indicates the maximum number of players in the server and must not be changed.

GM commands

Commands Function
/gm This command accesses the Gamemaster commands in the Console.
/gm password This will authenticate you as a game master in the game.
/add “ITEM NAME” 1 100 20000 Here you can award yourself an item in the game. The numbering is as follows, 1 = quantity, 100 = quality, 20000 = durability.
/complete The command completes the building immediately. For this to work, the player must have a direct view of the corresponding building.
/setmyskill “Skillname” 100 Here, you can set a skill to the maximum level. Alternatively, you can also use SkillID.
/reagents This command awards you all the possible reagents in the game for alchemy.
/alligment -1000/1000 Here, you can change the alignment of the characters in the game. Possible values range from -1000 to 1000.
/setmystat ID AMOUNT Here, you can adjust your in-game stats to any value. Maximum value is 100. The IDs are as follows, 0 = strength, 1 = agility, 2 = constitution, 3 = willpower, 4 = intelligence.
/weather ART Here you can change the weather, types are as follows: Fair, Cloudy and Shower.
/grow DHere you can accelerate the growth of your fields. You have to use the command 4 times in a row to see a change.
/delobj Here you can delete a building. You must be looking directly at it.
/addobj ID Here you can build a building in the world. A list for this is currently being produced.

Connecting to the server via Steam

  1. Open Steam and click on “View”
  2. Click on “Servers”
  3. Navigate to “Favorites” and right mouse click in the empty field
  4. Enter your server’s IP and Query Port
  5. Update the Favorites
  6. Double-click on the new entry and connect
