Basic server configuration

Create backup

You can create backups for your GPORTAL server if you want to. You receive free storage space for saving your game play.

Note Please note that backups are not created automatically.

How to create a backup via the web interface:

  1. Log on to our website
  2. Click on “My Servers” in the menu on the left
  3. Select the desired server
  4. Click on “Backup” in the “Administration” menu on the left
  5. Click on “Create Backup
  6. The server stops for the backup
  7. After creating the backup, the server restarts automatically

Important No backups can be saved between 19:00 and 21:00 (CET).

How do I use RCON?

  1. Download the RCON tool here:
  2. Unpack the tool on your computer
  3. Open the tool
  4. Click on “Connect to” from the “Connect to” menu
  5. Log on to our website
  6. Select the chosen server
  7. Make a note of your server’s IP and port
  8. Navigate to “Basic Settings” in the menu on the left
  9. Enter the Admin password
  10. Insert IP, port (default 2307) and Admin password in the RCON tool
  11. Connect with the RCON client on your server

If the connection is successful, you will receive the message “RCON Admin logged in” in the RCON tool.

How do I install mods?

  1. Download a mod
  2. Log on to our website
  3. Click on “My Server” in the menu on the left
  4. Select the chosen server
  5. Make a note of the FTP data
  6. Stop the server
  7. Connect to the FTP server using an FTP client
  8. Upload the mod to the root directory
  9. In the web interface, navigate to “Content” -> “Mods
  10. Activate the mod as “clientMod” or “serverMod
  11. Restart the server

NoteMod folders always start with “@”. The folder name cannot contain any special characters or spaces. Some mods need further steps. Take this information from the installation guide, which is usually included with the mods.
