Instructions: Installing Add-ons (Minecraft Bedrock)
If you use add-ons directly from the Marketplace, you can skip the following steps.
- Download Add-ons
- Only download add-ons from reputable sites such as CurseForge.
- Install Add-ons
- Double-click the downloaded files (.mcaddon or .mcpack) to open them.
- Important: This only applies to add-ons from third-party sites (e.g., CurseForge).
- Note: The game must be completely closed after installing each add-on; otherwise, the file will not install properly.
- Verify installation
- Launch the game.
- Go to Settings → Storage.
- Check whether the add-ons are displayed and enabled there.
Installing add-ons on a dedicated server
- Set up a single-player world
- Create a new single-player world in Minecraft Bedrock.
- Enable all add-ons and resource packs that you want to use on the server later.
- Exit the game
- Save the world.
- Exit the game completely.
- Find the world’s location
- Navigate to the following path on your device:
C:\Users[YourName]\AppData\Roaming\Minecraft Bedrock\Users[long_number]\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds\ - There you will find folders containing your saved worlds.
- Navigate to the following path on your device:
- Identify the correct world
- Open the folder and check the levelname.txt file to find your desired world.
Options for uploading to the server
Option 1: Upload the entire save file
- Upload the entire “World” folder to the “worlds” folder on your server.
- This method is useful if you want to use a new save file.
Option 2: Transfer add-ons only
- Upload the following files/folders to your server’s existing world folder:
- behavior_packs
- resource_packs
- world_behavior_packs.json
- world_resource_packs.json
